LIBRAINNOVATION
Technology
Our technology and invention is a
new type of illumination system used for providing an ultra small size
video projector. The technology can be built into all types and sizes of
portable equipment such as cellular telephones, Ipod, laptop and PDA or
be applied in stand-alone projectors (PC peripherals).
The intent of the invention
is to minimise the physical size of the projector to a minimum, yet
deliver a good picture quality.
Most PDA and cellular
telephone models have a small standard 1”- 2” LCD display. However, the
small size LCD displays, in general, are unattractive for people to look
at for long periods of time (peoples eyes tier). Adding a projector
feature to small size portable equipment will solve this problem.
Broadband technology in PDA
and cellular telephones make it possible for consumers to enter
videoconferencing, downloading video and video streaming directly from
the Internet. Portable equipment with a build in projector or
accessories would give the consumer the ability to watch movies in a
picture size 10”- 32” on a canvas. Thus, adding a mini projector feature
to small portable equipment will give, a potential business partner, the
opportunity to combine IT/ portable hardware and multimedia
entertainment. Giving consumer’s access to additional features such as
multimedia entertainment and a presentation tool in everyday portable
devices. In addition, The built in mini projector can be set default to
run high resolution, allowing the cell phone to brows through standard
websites.
-
The resolution our mini
projector can be XGA, SVGA, VGA, 16:9 or smaller.
-
The projector in a PDA or
cellular telephone will run for about 1 hour on batteries, and
continually when connected to power supply.
-
Lamp life 10.000 - 50.000
hours.
-
The physical size of the
projector can be attuned to fit into a standard size cellular telephone,
PDA, Ipods and/or portable devices (for example size 2cm x 1cm x 2cm (LxHxW)
or smaller).
-
The light output and picture
size of the projector will depend of the chosen physical size of the
mini projector.
Financial
The production costs of the
ultra small projector are considered low. Since, the apparatus is
assembled from few, simple and relatively inexpensive components (depending
on volume of production).
